Our RAC has gone up by nearly 7,000 since last week - moving us up six places in the RAC rankings as a result - and we’re not too far away from crunching one million cobblies per week for the first time in a long time :cool:

Special congrats are in order to Biffa, who has surpassed Mr Ludwig in the Weekly Cobbly Dumpage league having dumped nearly 100,000 cobblies this week, and who is fast approaching the top of the Top of the FLOPs table too. Keep it up sah!
 
I've had a poor week, for two days I was getting all my uploads rejected for some reason, I haven't kept the log so i can't remember the exact wording but a reboot sorted it out.
It does mean that I got stomped for the first time since I restarted seti :( Well done Lewis Stuart!
 
Great work on the news again Tross!

Work from the S@H servers has been a little bumpy this week.

This shows the router at S@H had some trouble accepting completed WU's and people also couldn't get new WU's for some of the week. More info at the S@H forums for anyone who is interested.

To remedy this I set my cache at 2-3days on each PC so I always have some work to crunch ;)

Did see that I was catching you up as well, at your current output I would-a had you in just under 2 weeks :eek:

Hopefully things will be getting back to normal soon and the race will be back on ;):D
 
I just had 30 wu's waiting to go back and I thought I might be having snags again but they have all just gone (phew!)
My watercooling is now fully sorted so I'll be trying a bit more Vcore and aiming for 3Ghz so I hope to be back to 3400ppd and beyond soon :D

Just checked and temps are down 20c from my thermaltake ultra 120, and I can fit the side panel back on:)

Officially we rock :) And just think, all I did was turn the folding machines over to S@H, imagine what our output would be if everyone folding did that :D
 
Another good week.

Had to take a couple of the machines down over the weekend, but most of them should be up by tonight. Also should have my quad core machine up by the end of wednesday.

Was having a think whilst I was doing some overtime, that my FX-53 was sat idle.

What project if any would you need a home PC stomping? It's on all day any ways, so might as well be used for something other than whoring.

I would say SETI for sure if you're not too fussed about what project to do. Otherwise there is a large variety of Boinc-based projects available if you had some specific area in mind.
Certainly not worth going near Folding@Home with a single-core even if it is a blisteringly fast one :o
 
Welcome hilly, glad to have you on board :). I know you've just started out, but you might consider using an optimised application instead of the standard one; the optimised apps process work more quickly, meaning a) you get more science done and b) you gain more credits (if that's your thing). Some optimised apps can be found here. Unfortunately I'm not sure which one on there would be suitable for an FX-53, but if you want to use one of these apps then I'm sure someone here could point you in the right direction :)
 
I'll check t hat out Biffa when I get home tonight,

I used ot do this whole SETI madness back in the day. Used to be a systems admin for a different company, and had their PC's doing the crunching too ;)
