IBM XP Home OEM cd still available?
I bought a laptop (2nd hand Thinkpad T23) a few weeks ago and XP Pro was already installed on it, thing is I know it was dodgy so I overwrote it with a copy from my MSDN subs. All fine there, no problems
The XP sticker underneath is for Home OEM but like I say my MSDN subscription key and XP Pro cd negated that.
Now I want to just restore to it's original, legal, factory status - as/when my MSDN subscription runs out I don't want it to just brick and not work any more.
Key thing is that I may not be around too much longer and this laptop is the wife's only access to the net so it needs to have some longevity - if it were just me I'd stick with the dual boot Ubuntu install but she isn't too handy with that
So, after a trawl around the IBM site I can't see if/where you can order a replacement cd (I am assuming it would have to be specifically for a T23?)- anyone know what the state of play would be and roughly where I'd have to look to take this further, please?
Cheers,
Marc
