IBM XP Home OEM cd still available?

I bought a laptop (2nd hand Thinkpad T23) a few weeks ago and XP Pro was already installed on it, thing is I know it was dodgy so I overwrote it with a copy from my MSDN subs. All fine there, no problems :) The XP sticker underneath is for Home OEM but like I say my MSDN subscription key and XP Pro cd negated that.

Now I want to just restore to it's original, legal, factory status - as/when my MSDN subscription runs out I don't want it to just brick and not work any more.

Key thing is that I may not be around too much longer and this laptop is the wife's only access to the net so it needs to have some longevity - if it were just me I'd stick with the dual boot Ubuntu install but she isn't too handy with that :P

So, after a trawl around the IBM site I can't see if/where you can order a replacement cd (I am assuming it would have to be specifically for a T23?)- anyone know what the state of play would be and roughly where I'd have to look to take this further, please?

Cheers,
Marc

Dell dont make thinkpads, isnt that an ibm/lenovo laptop?
D'oh that'll teach me for posting in the silly wee small hours - of course I meant IBM :( Thanks for pointing that out! I had actually searched the IBM site etc, just for some reason my brain substituted Dell for IBM when I made that original post :/

/goes to edit the original post..

lol was thinking that,

then noticed the title in the thread is edited but not the title on the forum itself :P

lol. You may be able to get a restore cd directly from IBM. other than that i would have thought any oem xp cd would work with the key

IBM supply restore media FOC if the machine is in the warranty period. Not sure what they do outside. Give them a call.

Must say, the combination of a ThinkPad and XP Home is a strange one.
