PSU connections to ABIT IP35

Hi Guy’s

I seem to have the combination of a naff ABIT motherboard manual and also a nearly none existent Zalman PSU manual!
Neither of them tells me if I have to plug both the CPU and Main board connectors in, or a combination! Both the main board plug and the CPU plug from the PSU are split and the labelling is really **** on the PSU side and the motherboard.

On my ASUS board I put together a year ago the plugs (from my corsair PSU) where not split and they only fitted one way. This was fool proof, the Zalman seems to provide multi options that it does NOT explain in its manual.

Anyway all this waffling aside, do I plug ALL the connectors in (IE the CPU and Main board power) or do I leave a couple out?

I’ve added some pictures so you can try and work out what I am talking about 

I can scan the manual as well if need be.

Thanks

Lee

persoanlly if theres any power connector on the motherboard I will plug them in.

I see a 4 pin molex on your last photo just above the pciex1 slot, might be an idea to plug that in as well

There is a BIG warning label in the last photo, when flipped it reads in English DO NOT PLUG BOTH IN! Personally I think this is for older boards but I want to make sure first.

Last 2 pics looks fine, I think those 2x2 pin connectors only fit in one way anyway. Not all motherboards come with an 8-pin CPU plug, it's supposed to offer greater stability for overclocking but apparently a 4-pin plugged in (leaving 4 pins not connected) works just as well. And the big 24-pin connector is definitely needed.

Ok, well they do fit both ways but I fitted them the same as the PSU scan with the clip together (like this). So I should be good for a power up then????

Aww bless. Dont worry the poor lad!

The IP-35 needs both the full 24pin ATX connector and both of the 2x2pin connectors into the 8pin EPS 12v connector for optimum stability.

Thanks for the input, much appreciated indeed.
