Freefall from 120,000 feet!! aka space diving

I didn't say it's a failed attempt. It will become a failed attempt, I'm certain of it.

Gee, aren't you Mr. Defeatist. Sure someone will do it sometime. Just because many people have tried and failed in the past is not reason for you to be "certain" it'll never happen.

Hes ex sas i wouldnt bet against him doing it to be fair :)

He's only got 1200 jumps though which isn't that huge a number among experts. Yes he might be tough and all that though I guess his military training might certainly give him that steely cool confidence. I have no doubts that this can be done I just wished it was me! :p

Lol maybe, or maybe I'm Mr Realist.

Yeah, it will be broken eventually, just not by this guy (in my opinion). Feel free to laugh at me when I'm wrong.

If someone was setting a new big way sequential or a new head down record, yeah, I can see it being done, but a new altitude record... doesn't look likely based on the past attempts and that this guy looks the same as all the others that have failed.

Your logic entertains me.

No sound and no points of reference

For a while you'd not notice anything at all going on, or that you were even falling. :o

So you're going to go up to 20+ miles and observe it yeah?? Or you can see the video of Kittinger on youtube and other sites and alleviate yourself of that necessity here and now.

So you don't believe the earth is flat? You don't believe we've been to space? since you would not have seen them with your own eyes, just pictures and videos... What an incredibly naive way to look at the world.

Anyway here's a discover channel link about Kittinger's space jump:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQ7N6V-YKJ8&feature=related

There are a lot of related videos. Type Kittinger and space and jump into you tube, you'll see it all.

We've provided links in this thread. What's not to believe?

Maybe, but typical of you to say that....i think flying through space is a little bit less known and documented tbh!!
