200 text
£35 a month

what should i do?

cheers

damnn that looks like a crazy deal - i'd go for it! getting more than what you currently got for less, with one of the latest windows mobile phones out!

Same deal I went on a few weeks ago (although did get the phone for free as I was threatening to cancel! :p)

Can't go wrong with the Orbit2, gorgeous phone, packs a hell of a lot of features.

Only personal thing I don't like is the screen isn't very anti-glare, but other than that, best phone I've had.

hmm

I got till end of the week to decide (he wrote it on my account)

I going to try and push for FREE phone :D

My contract runs out soon too, just rang up O2 and got offered (and decided to take) this...

XDA Orbit 2 - FREE
400 mins
1000 texts
unlimited O2 to O2 calls
18 month contract

£30/month

I can add on for a further £7.50 a month, unlimited internet use on the phone.

If I can use the phone freely all month, making calls, texting, using the internet, and I get bills of below £40 a month, I'll be happy tbh. The above contract online is £130 for the handset, which they gave me for free, and now I can sell my Orbit 1 and hopefully get £150+ for that also :)

I just got my upgrade, was on a 12 month and now on 18 month I'm getting:

600 minutes, 1000 texts
unlimited surfing
unlimited calls to o2 numbers
Nokia N95 8GB

30 pounds per month.

I did have a w850i, 300 minutes, 300 texts for 25 pounds per month.

just phoned up again

would not give the phone for free on £25 a month

I think i will got for it, then sell the orbit

EDIT: ok, got

Orbit 2 for Free :D
Unlimited Internet :D
£25 a month

The guy did say its cause my previous bills were too high (£120, £70....) not going to make the same mistake of calling abroad from mobile again

I'm pleased

look around, phone orange, 3....
then phone o2 retentions, have a limit (no more than £25 a month...), they should make you an offer, try to bring it down, hang up and try again :D

Just to confirm with the guys getting the O2 contract with 'unlimited O2 to O2 calls', it is anytime right? Not just off peak? My mate seems convinced its off peak only!

Yup anytime.

They must not like me then. I called them (said i was considering canceling so got put through to retentions) and said I wanted the xda orbit 2 on £25 but didnt want to pay £200. She wouldn't move from that price at all and said there's nothing at all they can do. After a bit the best offer she could do is the £45 a month tarrif with £10 a month off, but don't want that at all :(

I think all these companies are cottoning on to this tactic that has worked for years.

When i rang VF on behalf of someone else, it was a right challenge to get anything out of them. To be quite honest, it wasnt worth the effort. :p.
Just have to hope you get lucky and get someone who's new or easyily swayed. :p.

Your 'mistake' though has ended up benefitting you. :p.

er he seems to have spent £190 to save £50, not sure who benifited there :D

If you are checking out the details of the contracts, make sure you look into your actual usage based over the contract period. For me I will save money if I pay £250 for the phone and get the cheaper contracts, as I don't really make that many outgoing calls.

I changed my 18 month contract from £30 a month to £45 a month and now get...

unlimited O2 to O2 calls
unlimited texts
unlimited web bolt on
400 x-net anytime minutes

with FREE xda orbit 2.

(sold the copilot that came with the phone for £50, and got £160 for my orbit 1 :D)

Looking forward to April 23rd! Upgrade time too with o2!

Currently on a K800i, with 750 mins/texts for £35/mo

Looking forward to see what i'll be able to get! Orbit 2 is very appealing, and hoping I can work out to get it for free with a good contract!
