Hi all, I just got home. Krono, Miss K and Alrik are still on the road.

An absolutely massive thanks to Az for organising a great weekend and to Miss K and the gang for giving me a lift.

Fantastic weekend, great to finally meet so many people in person and to be able to have a conversation that ends with 'right, I'm off to go knife someone' without getting arrested. :D Scene It was a surprise hit with the projector and 'screen'. Also with the no speakers rule when you walked into the room all you could hear was the sound of Guitar Hero picks clattering :D

Also, this is a legendary picture

Just a quickie.

Got back at just after midnight (cheers Matt). Great time, I think better than before as it was a tad more organised and everyone got involved far more than last time.

Fantastic to meet Martin and James, 2 people who I've wanted to meet for ages, and Kieran (Sid The Turtle is an absolute star) (and a sod at COD4 ;)).

SceneIt was an utterly brilliant game on Saturday night, a room full of strangers felt like a room full of people who'd known each other years, great banter and the hours just flew by.

If the next one has more people and has the same atmosphere than this one then it's going to be a fantastic time.

MASSIVE thanks to Derek and Pat for brilliant hospitality and Az of course who thankfully managed to play a lot more than before.

Highlights for me: Martin and James at Burnout Revenge and COD4, an IMMENSE and hillarious 7 song Expert with Emily (Miss K) on Fire and Flames, Devil came down from Georgia, 3&7's, and some other songs that were a total blur (NEVER again unless I'm drunk), Super Burger with Egg, lots more Speckled Hen, Matt and I on Rocket Races in Halo3 and some hillarious COD4 action with Martin, James, Kieran, Krono, Kalanium, Matt and Justin.

O and cheers to Psy for been a nice, quiet and considerate room sharer, didn't hear him at all (but had to laugh yesterday morning when he was laid flat on his back, legs akimbo and snoring his rocks off!!! :D))

Not many photos, had too much fun!!

yeah that was the highlight for me to. those games of burnout were the best i have ever played. so so funny. It was nice to finally meet the people behind the names.

And Sid The Turtle was a star on COD4 lol

And thanks a lot ~J~ for your help on COD 4. im sure i will see you on there again very soon trying to put a knife in my ear

Finally:: MASSIVE thanks to Derek, Pat and Az for brilliant hospitality.

I'm back and have resurfaced (got home about ... actually I don't know what time I got home. I unpacked and went straight to bed.)

Miss K had a nap (I hope) and got up before I awoke. So she is off dropping Alrik at Banbury station for 2pm and picking my son up from my parents (about another 120 mile round trip) So she'll either be back about 4pm ish or in a ditch somewhere on the M40.

Well it was another great LAN, I played more than just Halo this time, COD was a good laugh, FEAR (SP) ****ed me off no end (the disk failing to read just added insult to injury) Rocket Races was a blast, should have really done some more of it.
GOW was great fun too, although I have lost what ever skill I had in that game.

Scene it was brilliant fun, Kreeeee will be glad to know that that game spent a fair amount of the night ripping it out of me. (certainly I got a disproportionate amount of the criticism.

It was good to meet up with all the people from last time and see some new faces.

On the way back we saw no livestock whatsoever, now some might argue that it was dark out. But I think the fact J left before us may have something to do with it ;)

Thank you Derek, Pat and Az for showing us so much hospitality and organizing a great weekend.

I'll be at the next one to provide the punishment personally.

If that's the case, I'll certainly be there. I feel I left Wyrdo in the lurch too as I got interviews the weekend of the LAN and I couldn't not go to them, so his absence may have been down to me, hopefully he has forgiven me and will go to the next one with me? :).

Love you too pinky :)

/me looks for my hammer

Matt and I nearly ended up in a ditch trying to avoid a badger, was actually annoyed we missed because there was at least 8 chops worth on it.

Thanks :) I did quite enjoy shooting you repeatedly at point blank range with the noob tube. :p

Miss K did nearly lose it on the Severn bridge ****ing about.
I'll add Miss K to my list of legendary people. How we all got home without dying several times (thanks to ice, mountains, a car that weighed more than a small lorry etc.) I'll never know!

My highlights are definitely the big Scene It quiz in the bar, COD4, everyone spending hours trying to whore about 45 gamerpoints for Az in Scene It, the usual hilarity of Rocket Races and EVERYONE being owned by a fourteen (I think?) year old girl in not only Guitar Hero, but Gears of War. Laura seriously has some skill.

The only downer I'd say is that we spent a lot of time playing single player as we couldn't get an MP game together. That'd be fixed by having a few more people there to get 'critical mass'.
