For once a spam email was useful, I have just been reminded it is Mother's day on Sunday.

Are you doing anything in particular? Buying anything in particular? I'm all out of ideas so I want to hear your's.:)

I only just realised this when I was in the post office today. I'm not sure what Im going to do though, my mums in New Zealand.

We don't do dumb greetings card holidays like this. I bought my mum a mothers day card when I was like 13 or 14 and she got mad at me for wasting money on it!

I hate the concept as well but my mum loves it so I want to make an effort.

yeah, if she did it I'd do it, not grudgingly or anything!

To be fair, we're back home this weekend so I might take her for a meal, cash permitting.

I got the hint it was coming on Saturday when my old girl said 'Don't bother with Mother's Day next week' which over the years I've come to understand means: 'You only have a week left to live if you don't get me something'.
