its a arden blue vectra vxr estate

also best way to remove bits of tar, as its got a lot round the archs and trims

thanks

breamy :)

T-Cut followed by Mer or Turtlewax wax. T-Cut takes the scratches and oxide off the surface of the paint and the wax buffs it up to a high shine and protects your effort. Allow a whole day for the job :)

Use wd40 on tar spots.

As for the paint, i'd wash, clay bar it then probably use the meguiars 3 stage kit (as you can get it from halfords). Probably replace the carnauba wax with the nxt one though as its a sealant instead.

Personally- if you're willing to buy more stuff online i'd use the deep crystal step 1 paint cleaner, meguiars show car glaze followed by poorboys ex-p sealant and poorboys natty's blue wax. This combo works awesome on dark colours :)

seeing as this thread is here, im just wondering something. I painted over some chips and scratches on my car. It was a pretty shoddy job to be honest, and you can see where ive done it.. Is there anyway to smooth it out and make it look nice again. I have TCUT and wax .. if that the right stuff to use?

I found the clay bar worked well on tar spots or bad tar I use T-Cut.

Stuff doing that sort of thing in this weather though!

You don't want to be T Cutting a nearly new car, there is absolutely no need.

Claybar it first, then use some Autoglym Super Resin Polish a couple of coats will be fine, then some Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection, then finish it off with a nice wax of your choice.

as fox says, don't T-cut it, it strips a layer of paint of your car (so i've heard) and should only be used on older cars. i'd clay it and either meguiars 3 step kit / autoglym super resin polish or collinite is supposed to be good stuff too.

Get some nice pads aswell, like meguairs(sp?) applicator pads and use a different one for every product.

Also get some big microfibres aswell makes a massive difference when buffing off.

Some nice stuff to clean the wheels like autoglym wheel cleaner.

Also tarting up the trim and glass makes so much of a difference.

could someone spec me up a propper cleaning kit then, thru ocuk as it saves me ordering from 1 or 2 different sites, as i dont think the cars had a good clean since it left the factory tbh as the boots covered in dog hairs, i wont mention the dealer it was purchased from but they were useless to say the least
