Hi

Has anyone purchased TOCA RD3 recently?? the reason I ask is I purchased TrackMania a few weeks back, and it seems that although the internet is full of horror stories relating to StarForce, the latest retail releases of TM have had StarForce removed. Is this the same with TOCA?

Also, is there any other racing game better than TOCA RD3 that can be had for £8?

You should be able to find Richard Burns Rally for cheap, it's old but still the finest rally sim on the PC.

Yes, TOCA RD3 for a fiver from supermarket :D:D

Not sure if it has starforce, I can check when i get home. Personally, I have never had any starforce related problems. A few of my games have used it including Splinter Cell CT, And it has caused me zero problems.

People get sucked in by the scaremongering. Some of these scaremongers then become starforce "experts", based on what they have read, not what they have experienced.
 
I have the PC Gamer presentation of TOCA3, think it was a fiver from everyones fave supermarket? It doesnt seem to have starforce on it. Theres no manual with it, but it certainly doesnt mention anything to do with starforce on the disk itself.
 
I just use a mini image for toca, seems to work fine, isn't even starforce I think but safedisc or securom.


EDIT: hmmm StarForce v3

Never gave me any throuble with the newest deamon tools. Just using a mini image personally, allows u to patch and no need to find those pesky cd's anymore.
 
Ok, I think ill give the nocd a go. did it with TMU before I realised that it no longer includes SF

A Well know supermarket you say... I will have to investigate!
