....(Kind of) ..... Thats right, the United reserves go head to head against Liverpool reserves tonight and it's set to be a stormer.

Jokes aside, what may interest fans of both sides is that Neville has been named in the squad for United, and Agger is set to feature for Liverpool.

We really could do with Neville back so I hope it goes well. Our squad is extremely strong, but at the back a couple of injuries could be a nightmare.

The game is apparantly live of LFC TV which is part of the Setanta package. Kick off 7.30pm. Also on MUTV.

As its a pretty dull midweek for football I thought this might at least interest fans of each team at least.
 
LOL!! Carling Cup Final has to go into the other thread with all the other games yet a Man Utd v Liverpool reserve game needs it own thread? :p :D

Not that I care... just thought it typical and funny :D
 
Agger is starting, though is only going to play 45mins. Alonso and Kewell are likely to play some part too, to try and regain their fitness.
 
Just so you know, I wasn't posting this because I think United are oh so important and deserve their own thread for a reserve team game. Just thought some people would be interested. Never thought about the other thread to be honest.
 
I watched Sunderland reserves v Liverpool reserves a couple of weeks ago. We got well beaten. I didn't recognise any of the opposition, they were all just kids, but we had a supposedly half decent team out (4 internationals!!!).

One of the Liverpool kids was called Ayala, anyone know if he's related to Roberto???

Yea we've got a good bunch of youngsters coming through, i think they're top of the reserves league atm.

I don't Ayala is related to Roberto though.
 
I hope Neville comes through ok - Im very pessimistic about it though, after every little thing that could go wrong has so far with him and this long term injury I reallly hope its all sorted

It would be funny though if his first big match back for a start was the Liverpool EPL game in a couple of weeks
 
Nemeth is a player to look out for, for us. Joined us a while back but picked up an injury and only made his debut for the reserves a few months back but he looks the business.

He does? I think he's clumsy, only useful for attacking corners. We should sell him in the summer, someone from Spain will pay a good 5m for him. He's never going to get near the first time unless we have a few injuries.

Wellbeck needs some support, seems to have a good touch but there's never any support. If Neville gets through tonight ok I can see him starting against Portsmouth in a couple of weeks.

Commentators are funny on LFCTV, everything a Liverpool player does is great or excellent.
