This might be because:

Its pretty poor that all the other pages are still in the old style. I would have thought they would have changed the look of every page before making it the default. At the moment its just a front page tacked onto an old website.
 
I don't think the writing is quite big enough

But seriously, I've a nice high resolution screen but can still see bugger all informatio between the childish huge writing and awful low-contrast design.

Wow, didn't realise the clock like that was from '69. That's before I was even born, yet it seems very familiar. Maybe I'm getting it confused with the clock that usd to have disappearing dots for each second, that was shown before Look & Read.... or the one with the rotating globe.

Oh, and I got the MotD error too... first link I clicked as well. What match is it tonight?
 
Was just going to make a thread about this. I think it looks a bit cheap/tacky (for the BBC) as if its come from a premade template, far preferred it the old way which looked professional and everything was easily accessible.
