Yay, I feel special!
Changing the lambda sensor today and taking it in for its retest.
It's blowing slightly at the backbox flange (hehe, I said flange) so I'm going to whip that off and seal that up.
If it still doesn't pass, it could be the catalyst.
Weird thing is, it doesn't seem to be using any more fuel than normal. I was out hooning the other night and got 20MPG and can still easily get 35+ MPG on a run to work.
It's a bit gutting, as apart from the emissions, the car's sound. Runs great and for the time being... is troublefree. Just need it to pass the MOT so I can start saving my pennies for the bodywork.
What's wrong with ya? I went from Colchester last time! Phate comes from Brentwood!
Stop being a pansy![]()
How much was it out by? The cerb failed it's MOT on emissions because of a blowing exhaust. Replaced that part and it passed (the cerb is apparently only just capable of passing emissions anyway)
Boy, am I glad I copper greased the thread last time I changed it![]()
Copper grease is wonderful stuff with magical properties![]()
Is this some special Police lube?

If your car blows up on the rollers chances are it would have blown up on the road anyway.I'm pretty sure they thrash your car so you can stand back and watch with your fingers crossed.
