out of curiosity how much does it cost (per kit etc) to buy from OCZ, considering you get the bulk discounts etc, and can recover your VAT?

Why are they having a go at you - surely you paying exactly the same for it as you were last week?

Companies usually set a minimum RRP that you can sell the product at. Any lower and they usually have a go at you. I know a competitor did when they where selling Feser-One at a too low price.

I dought he is going to tell you how much they buy them for. :p

Im going to guess £8-£12 a kit before taxs and delivery of kits. 200 kits in a box maybe.
Just under £2.5k profit inc VAT tax on each box if one kit costs £12 me thinks. Prolly doesnt though. ;)

HI there

Were on the same stock we've had since memory hit it lowest some weeks ago before Chinese new year.

The reason they are not happy because for all our competitors to buy this RAM means they might as well just buy it from OcUK because our web price is lower than OCZ can sell new at.

However because I realised memory pricing had bottomed out I stocked up and purchased 10,000 kits, were now down to our last 3000 and shifting 250+ per day so we can hold it at this price for a week.

Basically its all about making noise in the market and this kind of deal brings the customers flooding in from everywhere, even the traders. :)

So I should buy 1000 kits from you... wait a couple of months until mem prices increase and then sell them on making some profit?

Sound idea Gibbo. Where is my debit card? :D

Cool, must be fun, having the competition having to buy from you :D

@Azza

Yeah, well it's hardly like I'm going to be able to buy the same price as ocuk as what would i do with the extra couple of hundred sticks :p

*hmm thinks of building a card tower out of ram sticks...*

As does my wallet! :(

lol yeah, it's amazing how quickly the price has fallen and how much extra you get for your money now for pc parts, You can get a quad core processor for ~ £150-160 when only a few years ago that would have got you a single core, that was slower than just one of the cores on the quad, can't wait for the soft ware to catch up :D
