Sydney armed robbers pick wrong night to raid bar

Quality....

"One of the guys took off... straight through a glass window, he didn't even bother pushing the button, he just ran straight through it."

That has to be the best thing ever!

Yes if it was the biker, although it may have been the robber.

I like the thought of it being the biker

Just what do bikers do for a living? they gotta make money somehow but you always see them in bars having meetings or "rollin' on the highway!"

I don't get this story and the attitudes of people with bikers.
I spend a large part of my time with bikers and attend at least 6 Rally's a year.
Bikers are not super heroes and if a gun is pointed at them they will put their hands up like anybody else.
Obviously the robbers must have had the same thoughts and poo'd themselves when they saw 50 bikers in front of them and the Bikers tasted their fear.
If they'd stayed calm and continued with the robbery they would have got away with it.
Bikers are just normal people - with bikes.

yeah but we all think of hells angels wit chain whips knives (and in one video off an American news channel launchers), who control most of Americas meth supply and production. :D

Reminds me of a story about two local lads who broke into the local hardman/nutters house (unawares) and he woke up and chased them through town in his pants with a scythe. They ran to the police station!!

I was at the NHS today and saw 3 bikers doing their day jobs : one driving an ambulance, one that works in surgery and a doctor.
One particular Triumph biker gang from the Oxford region have members who are Surgeons, Doctors, Barristers, Lawyers & Solicitors and one year they attended the meet in their day clothes.
The leader of a local bike gang is a floor manager at purple shirt rip-off shop and he doesn't even own a PC.
Bikers are normal people of all ages and (believe it or not) don't necessarily like rock music.
In fact, at a lot of rally's, quite a few will walk out when the band kicks in and then will come back when the disco kicks in playing Agadoo (serious).

They would not have been the soft, easy-going middle class "bikers" that you get over here. In Australia, when the media says "bikers" they are usually referring to the gang variety. And biker gangs are a serious problem Down Under.

Look up the Gypsy Jokers and Coffin Cheaters some time. Those No swearing. Big Kev are serious business.

Biker "stereotype" or not - if there are 50 people (bikers or not) in a room and they accost 2 robbers - I think the odds are in favour of the bikers who were probably locals to the pub and had some affinity towards the landlord.
