i cleaned out the old drivers with driver sweeper, took out my old 7900gt and put in the 3870 x2 loaded the drivers and everything seemed to go OK.

machine rebooted and no Oi , NO SWEARING drivers loaded.

went and download 8.2 unistalled drivers, ran driver sweeper again took out ati drivers, rebooted to safe mode ran driver sweeper again rebooted reinstalled 8.2 rebooted and guess what no Oi , NO SWEARING , Next one's a suspension- you have been warneddrivers no cc loaded

this is my first ATI card so do i have to do a special dance while scratching my left nut and spinning on my head to get these to load?

WTF is going on!?!

You need .NET framework 3.5 for CCC to work.

The drivers themselves should still work tho.

Look in your Graphics properties to see if the card is detected as n X2, if it is then the drivers are working.

as far as i know i have the latest framework loaded, it shows in system manager as an x2 and it lists it twice (one for each core) but CCC will not load and keep getting a MOM.Implemenation failed to load error.

Ah, that little gem.

What you need to do is this.

Uninstall all ATi drivers, uninstall .NET framework, go to safe mode, run driver cleaner.

Load back into windows.

Install .NET framework.

Reboot.

Install ATi drivers.

Wasnt a chicken supposed to be sacrificed at some point during all that as well?

:D

finally got it sorted, all i can say is what a flaky installation procedure!!!

always had nvidia and you swap the card load the software.

i'm lucky i have a HD left as i used driver cleaner so many times i swear (am i allowed to say that?) i almost wore it away!
