Do excuse my immaturity.

Might want to get help if you're having those thoughts ;).

Bickering? You've read it then which means your post is little more than trolling to perpetuate the argument.

:(

You got very lucky. 60+ in a residential zone is stupid and to be quite honest, I think it's a disgrace that you didn't get banned when people doing 100+ on a clear motorway in good conditions so frequently do.

I read the first few posts of it, and wondered why people are so critical on the forums. We've all done stupid speeds where we shouldnt have done, i split an MR2 practically in half in a 30 zone, who cares.

I say good result for what could have potentially been a ban.

Because of the extremity of the offence.

Who cares? Are you serious? What was going through the minds of your family when they heard the news? What about the witnesses who saw it? Who cares eh?

Good result for him maybe. Not for other road users unfortunate enough to be in his way should he fail to control the car in the inappropriate circumstances he places himself in.

First off bad result should have been a ban but since you think as you do we will have to agree to disagree.

Never done 60 in 30 or double the speed limit, by the sounds of it this was a built up area, this is beyond stupid.

So you can't drive properly either?, The person he potentially hits or kills at double the speed limit in a built up area cares.

Shame I can't reveal my true thoughts, I'd be suspended/banned :(

Get a grip dude, there are bigger things to worry about in the world than what some young guy did in his bmw.

Again, an immature sense of perspective. You'd make another great magistrate like OllyM.

It's always the same group of people who think it's an absoloute hoot, you'll not get anywhere trying to argue with them they all have there blinkered immature views. Maybe they'll grow up someday, Leave it ;)

True, but if every bad driver like him gets off lightly, the roads are going to be a dangerous place in not too long. What if him or one of his likeminded buddies ran over your parents, killing them, whilst doing well in excess of 60mph on a 30mph road? It can and does happen.

If we approached road safety with the "there's bigger things to worry about" attitude, I wouldn't want to be out on the roads.
