New Metal Gear Online Images

I've never played a MGS game but looking at videos of past games I don't get how he just turns 'invisible' for the camo mode. Can they spot you? It just looks comical that he just vanishes if you ask me.
 
He doesn't vanish, you can still see him blending into the background. If you're talking about the Stealth camo on 1/2/3 that's just a bonus type of thing for finishing the game

If you're talking about the green see-through thing in the screenshots next to the stairs - that isn't snake, it's a little robot majig. Snake is actually lying on the floor to the right of the picture, blending in as he's wearing camo.

Some of the other characters, eg 'the ninja' do go see-through predator style, but never in MGS has snake himself been able to do the same unless you've already completed the game and unlocked it as a bonus feature.

I just dont get the camo, it seems so comical. He's wearing this advanced suit that can blend in with the surroundings....yet he's wearing black shoes :confused:

I wasn't on about that screenshot, just a video of MGS2 (I think) I saw recently where he just vanihses and can walk around invisible, I thought it looked crap :p

That may have been a bonus feature you're on about? He was just completely invisible walking right past guards.

That is the extra you unlock after collection so many dog tages and finishing the game

My wish has been granted! Just read on Konami that MGS4: Guns of the Patriots will come with MGS: Online on the disc.

Ryan Patton announced on the Kojipro podcast last night that the beta for MGO will be available for the EU as well as the US and Japan ( tied to pre ordering the game ).

More details will be announced shortly.

Now I'm confused. I thought these were 2 seperate games? (certainly did not realise they are launched at the same time on the same disc).

Are you sure it is not some sort of demo/beta of MGO on the MGS4 blu-ray?

No it is the starter pack for MGO that comes with MGS4, it contains 5 levels and is the only way so far to play the game.

Expansion packs in the form of dlc will become available at some stage later.

I am a little confused as well to be honest. There seems to be contrasting information out there. I'm going by what Konami have said on their own website which seems to suggest that it is the full MGS: Online included on the MGS4 disc. I have however seen information suggesting otherwise, but surely Konami can't be posting wrong information on their own website, surely :confused:
 
Well on the podcast a few weeks/months ago they said they were still trying to figure out how to distribute it. I guess it does kinda make sense putting it on the same disc as the SP. They can always make extra $$$ with DLC anyway. I guess this is also one of the things that have filled up that blu-ray disc.
 
MGS4 and MGO are the same game. Konami just thought they seemed above everyone else and tried to get the across that single player and multi player are different games when really, they're not. If people experienced both and realized they'd have paid for two separate packages, there would be an uproar!

It's like trying to get Halo 3 campaign and Halo 3 multiplayer as different retail packages. Nobody here would stand for it.
