Oh **** you have to do something.

ouch, she had guts tbh, and thats how it should be, **** the situation your in, if you don't want to you don't want to.
Apparently if you're proposed to and turn her down, you have to pay literally a material fine - has to be a peice of clothing of the ladies choice
...and if we say yes, what benefit is there for the man?

Haven't been proposed to but I wasn't expecting to be either, still there is always the evening to remedy that. I'd totally forgotten this tradition existed until a woman in work today asked if I'd received any proposals and I had a nasty fear that for a second she was about to pop the question.
