Want the best bang for buck 42" HD TV.

What's the budget? Which features do you want?
Panasonics are excellent for the money, especially the TH42PZ70 (1080p) if you can stretch to that, if not the PX version which is 720P is a fine screen.

New panasonic PX80 range is filtering into retailers stores atm, so take a look at them as I think their prices are very similar to the px70's. The PZ 1080p range is better than the PX's, but assess your viewing distances, as at under ~6ft for this size, 1080p isn't really important. PZ 42 set at ~£940.

But my recommendation is the pioneer kuro 4280xd, especially as it ha come down to ~£1200, and really is the best tv available atm.
