first suggestion - aim for strength or fat loss. not both.

yes need to but its on my doorstep and time is limited somewhat

Theres your biggest problem then before we even start. The other day i got so snowed in by work that i had to train at 1.30am with a 7 am start later that day. Why didnt i just put it off....

Im not saying go all monk or anything, but be prepared to make changes to succeed, the way i see it...

Ambition without dedication is the mindless pursuit of an impossible dream

Was looking for a casein type product for slow protein sustained release throughout mainly whilst I sleep, found this product called Probolic-SR. Claims a sustained release of 12 hours of proteins, what you all reckon?

I reckon you sound like one of those noobs who comes in looking for magic beans to make him mahoosif! :p;)

Seriously though just look at the ingredients, see anything special? Anything at all? It's just milk protein, whey protein and some EFA's.

Now that's a decent price, it's about £12.50 for 2lb but you'll have to pay P&P and possibly VAT when customs see it. So it's not worth it, just buy some milk protein (5kg for £45) and some fish oils from Holland & Barrett. They had an offer on 500 caps for something like £7.50.

Jobs a good 'un ;)

I've had to stop my HST adventure early.

Wednesday night a horrible stomach bug started and was being sick constantly and pooing like there was no tomorrow. Barely even ate a thing on Thursday (about 3 cornflakes and some milk).

I also twinged my back with some poor form on deadlifts, basically SLDL'ing rather than deadlifting. Pulling far too much with my back and no real leg drive is a sure fire way to rape my back, in a bad way.

Also felt a niggle in my shoulder, I think I went to low doing negatives on bench press.

I've learned from it though and i'm going to try HIT next, although I will without a doubt be back to HST soon, it was working well for me without a doubt.

ahh both exact same things happened to me last year :)

Wow!1 Holland & Barrett MADNESS!

I popped into H+B today after hearing CW mention something about cheap cod liver oil. I quickley raided their sale shelf as it contained (reading from my reciept)

Cod Liver Oil (high strength 1000mg caps x 120) @ £3
Glucosamine sulphate (1000mg x 60 reduced from 19.99) @ 4.99
Milk thistle 175mg @ 4.84

There were a few others too but these are stunning value offers, especially the GsS.

The shop still made me laugh, i wanted to have a quick look at their protein blends but these two tiny indian chaps were hogging the 'bodybuilding' section i just stood behind them looking as they deliberated between two very iffy looking cans of 'gainer' one of which was....wait for it......VEGAN! lol eventually i was struggling not to spasm behind them with subdued laughter so i left. That said the aformentioned deals are worth braving that ridiculous place for no doubt!
