Anybody here insured with them?

They have been the msot reasonable so far, and i can buy online which is a bonus.

Quick question, when you buy online is that all there is to it? i notice you can select payment now (monthly/one payment) and do they then send docs out to you? I hate recieving phone calls all the time about "just need to confirm this" and "are these details correct"?

Still shopping around at the moment, but they seem pretty good :)

I'm insured with them, once thing I would say though (going by some of your previous cars) - they really really don't seem to like mods, I had a 15min argument with them after changing brake discs, they were saying that I wouldn't be covered as they didn't cover modifications!

I was insured with them last year and unless they quoted me a LOT less than any other quote i got i wouldn't insure with them again. They were awful to deal with, everything took ages to complete (even after numerous phonecalls). They kept phoning me to get me to renew even after i had told them i didn't want to renew with them because they wouldn't price match my much cheaper quote.
I don't like DL

Been with them a few years. First few years they gave me the cheapest quote I could find and the last few years Ive just been too lazy to shop around and they were only too happy to renew my insurance without me saying anything which is good for me since Im so lazy.

Had 1 claim go through them where my car was written off due to some woman driving out in front of me. It was her fault and it was sorted out in due time.

All my contact with them has been satisfactory or good. Ive had the occasional long wait to get through to their call center but thats to be expected really with any call center :\

All my insurance has been done online or on the phone, never had to fill out any forms. Ive had to call them a few times to get new certificates and theyve come through a day or two later :) pretty much on the ball with their mail :D

Yeah i'm with them and can recommend them.

Got all the extras thrown in. Windscreen cover, courtesy car as well as business travel as standard. Also named drivers get no claims bonus! :)

They're coming out one of the cheapest for me at the moment, £100 cheaper than admiral. But I may decide to opt for a specialist if I end up with a Teg.

Admiral were shocking when i was with them, nothing but a PITA, my friend experience the same when he was will Bell Direct (sister company to AF).

I've never really had to deal with them to be honest. I think insurance companies generally are a bit rubbish, you can't really win :p

Try Churchill, Prudential and Nationwide too - they are all underwritten by the same people and I always find they quote cheaper than Direct Line. Tesco are also the same, as are Egg, Natwest, Lloyds TSB etc.

i used to be insured with them about 5 years ago and had to make a claim. They were quite decent. Better customer service than elephant/admiral.

How old are you, they do not insure anyone with mods under 25 y.o

I have been insure with them for 4 years so far, cannot complain price wise.

try quickfit, i pay £1100 on my 2.0 mondeo @ 19 0ncb 1 fault claim, bell was £1500, DL was £1700 from my grandads post code and about £3000 from my house and about £6000 from my works lol.

I've been with them for the last 2 years. I did an online quote which was very reasonable, but I needed to confirm something so gave them a call. During the conversation the lady I was speaking to told me that she could give me 1 years NCB straight away (I didn't have any :( ) dropped my quote by £200.00

Just had my renewal through (end of the 2nd year but 3 years NCB) rang them again and told them I needed to take my NCB away as new car was going to be through work, but I still wanted to insured my current car as a second car and they gave me 1 NCB again to start me off dropping my quote by £250.00 this time.
