8800GT 512Mb vs 8800GTS 320Mb

8800GT is considerably faster than a 7800GT.

The 9800GT will prolly just be a higher clocked version of the current card if the 9880GTX specs are anything to go by.

And no doubt be rather expensive compaired to the cheap 8800GT's you can pick up now.

Personally i'd just grab the 8800GT now.

Yeah, i'll probably upgrade to the 8800gt, don't want to spend more than £200 + on a graphics card.

Cheer's for the advice Hex

Now the question which version? Are there differences in overclocking potential? Will a lower clocked cheaper card still clock to the same as say a more expensive pre overclocked card?

They are all pretty much the same reference board with a different sticker on the front.

you would be best sticking to your current card and waiting to see what comes out in the next few months

My limit is £200 I take it the GTX's wont drop under that in the near future? They are close to the £200 mark, I don't think I'd be able to afford a new card when it is released, like a 9800GT or whatever they will call it.

Bah in two minds now, the 8800GTS 320mb does ok, it does struggle slightly though.

I think my deciding factor will be how much the £235 GTX's will drop when the new cards are released :(

The 8800GTX I assume they are not much different to the 8800GTS 512 and a lot better than my 8800GTS 320.
