Are there any decent TV apps available at all?

The Compro one that's bundled with the card, is pretty unstable and has a few annoying features.

Vista MCE works fine, apart from I can't have it full screen on my second monitor and it's stuck in 16:9 in windowed mode.

I've tried Mediaportal and GBPVR in the past and found them to be awkward to setup.

Any others worth trying?

Sorry I can't help you with your question, but I was just wondering - is it possible to get Freeview on my PC without any hardware needed?

I'm guessing not, but it would be nice :)

MCE should be full size on the second monitor, works okay with mine. What’s annoying is once enabled full screen on the second monitor the mouse gets locked into that screen also Aero gets turned off. I don’t use it much in full screen so it doesn’t really bother me. Yea the compro software is poor :D

Only way is to download MP and give it a whirl :)

Yeah, thats the problem I have.

I've spent ages woth MP in the past, and I just don't think it's good enough for everyday use. Shame, because the Video and Music browsing is actually much better than MCE.

Tried resizing media centre to fill the whole screen? What I do looks okay :D I can’t use MP also just lack the feel and features you get from using Vista media centre. I’m sure it’s a good app was a few months since I last tried it out.

Yeah, but it's stuck in widescreen mode, so I only get it filling half the screen :o

Yeah it works by setting the window size a bit bigger than the actual screen size, and hiding the task bar. It's not great, but it works. It's also some how managed to get it out of 16:9 when in windowed mode too.

Still not a substitute for a decent TV app though :p
