This forum is a much nicer read than other forums thanks to the swearing ban- I find it bizarre that they're not added to the word filter though.

You just know someone will take this at face value and believe that you do change the rules every week out of spite.
People are expected to be able to self-moderate themselves to an extent and not post swearing although I suppose you could extend that argument to text speak and just suspend people who use that as well rather than having it in the word filter.

because the forum would be filled with ****** and **** and ******** all over the place, not placing swear words into the filter and trying to get people to moderate themselves when it comes to swearing helps create a better standard of posting, well I think so anyway.

I guess if it was added to the censors, It would be hard to see who the rule followers were and weren't. For example, Someone could come in here being a complete idiot and swearing lots, Mods can then send those guys on a permanent holiday. But if the censors picked up on those words and starred them out, There'd be no justification in banning that person.

They're being paid to perform for a film, not to provide a sexual service to someone - it's different.
I can't recall ever swearing in a post. However, i did get a warning for posting a Youtube vid that contained swearing. It felt really harsh but i was fairly new at the time and a little wet behind the ears. I guess rules are rules.

The confusion is it says to fully star out the whole word. The -ed suffix is a part of the word, despite not really being part of the swear.Its so simple to grasp.
Fully star the sweary or just say it in a nice way.
Don't see why there is confusion or the need for a three page thread.

Indeed. But you can see where the confusion comes from because the rules are worded wrong.
