Correct - If I remember rightly this is a person who DID swallow the hype and bought a PS3 for the launch titles. He's nowhere near as "all knowing" as he makes out.
Thought this was a GOW3 thread not a lets get at Nokkon one lol
Anyway I wonder if the PSP version will have a Easter Egg like GOW2 had, think it was something like when you got a 999 combo it flashed up a website address which had a count down on. Think when this count down eventually ended it gave a bit more info bout the PSP version (or something like that). I doubt very much they will dim down the adult content for a lower age rating it will be as bloody as NG2 looks (even more so if poss) and have the same dubious mini-games
as that is God of War. be like hostel not having torture/violent scenes and just involving tickling with feathers.

I bought it for Blu-Rays and for Resistance Fall of Man. I've bought every major console bar the Saturn on day of launch since that generation was out.
Believe me, I didn't fall for the hype, I just like new toys.
It's also a brilliant console.

What do we think is gonna happen in GoW3 anyway? Personally i think it could be the end of this particular storyline arc, but not the GoW series. Basically i think Zeus is gonna get owned bigtime and Kratos will take his place with the titans as his allies.
However, there's more to it than that according to some of the bonus features in the first GoW. For example, there is mention of his brother becoming a powerful demon in the underworld and resenting Kratos for his death, could the developers be thinking to introduce this character at some point as the new villain?

We can't have Kratos as the king of Olympus. (He is sort of an anti-hero so it wouldn't really be logical). Unless Kratos becomes complacent "at the top" (of Olympus) and his ex bro is the new nemesis "hero" of the next game?

Well, one theory i have is that he casts the gods out of olympus as they are immortal, like the titans it's very difficult to kill them so imprisoning them is the next best thing. However zeus, or possibly even Hades use Kratos' bro to strike at Olympus, much like Gaia used Kratos himself. I agree that it can't all end with Kratos as the ruler of the gods, he really does need to die at the end as all Anti-Heroes do, but they can play around with things a bit in between.
As msmalls74 mentioned maybe there will be clues in the PSP game (I think mine ships tomorrow from USA).
I love the storyline in God of War (I think I just like all these Greek gods malarky from my school days). My mate told me to watch the cutscense etc in the 1st game, and I am glad I did!

At the moment the PS3 isn't that great for games that I (I will repeat. I want). However
This is slowly changing, with Kingdom Hearts 3, FF, MGS, Tekken, God Of War, and so on. I will probably pick a PS3 up later this year.

My most anticipated game - possibly ever.
See i suck at these sorts of games, and generally don't enjoy them. Exceptions to this are Ninja Gaiden as it just feels so utterly cool when you do anything remotely skillful, and God of War.
God of War manages to be an extremely deep beat em up/platformer while creating (well, portraying would be more accurate) one of the most vibrant and detailed game worlds along with utterly brilliant characters on top of a completely gripping storyline. I also tend to hate cliffhangers but they managed to get away with it due to providing enough tasty storyline twists in each game to allow for the utterly painful ending they have given us. It's just plain awesome frankly and i share your enthusiasm... though i'm anticipating FFXII more, but i really don't know why, their previous two games didn't do anything for me, i guess i'm just hoping the series returns to its former glory.
In short... WANT!

After the amount of joy I've had from DMC 4. I can't wait for this and Ninja Gaiden 2. Only briefly dabbled with God of War 1, must play it through at some point.
GoW really is the daddy, for me it goes like this:
God of War > Devil May Cry > Ninja Gaiden > Heavenly Sword > The rest.
Have really enjoyed all of what I have played of them.
If you liked heavenly sword you would dump her for GoW1 and go out on a hot date, but then you would dump that one for GoW2 and settle down and have little half human half dvd children.
I can only hope GoW3 is half as good as GoW2 and then i'll be happy.
