Unspeakable horror

What's the point of this thread other than to fuel hatred towards a country already much maligned on this forum?

If it had happened in this country a thread would be made about it too, same if it happened in fr4nace, Russia Americas china or Japan.

I can see the reaction, but to say in one breath "ooh that's bad" and in the next breath "oh yeah it's fine" doesn't sit right with me. I'm sure life in a prison (with life meaning life) would be a better punishment. If he's killed then it's over and he doesn't have to live with his actions. Just my opinion.

why exactly is Locking someone in a room till they die, decades later, "better"?

*obviously it would have to be full life, as I don' think a few years would really change this guy much.

There are some sick freaks in this world. This is vile. One has to ask oneself what drives a person to perform such acts? What is it in their upbringing or genes which makes him think this sort of behavior is acceptable?

People need to understand the consequences of their actions and reflect on the hideousness of their crimes. Merely killing someone ends their ability to think about the pain and suffering they've caused. As I said, it's just my opinion. If you've got a totally different one, then lets hope we're never on the bench together eh? lol.

Mad or bad.

Behead those who behead others? I don't agree. Two wrongs don't make a right - it just puts the state at the same level as the murderer.

Rubbish.

This guy killed someone innocent. The state is at once punishing him and removing him from society.

how exactly is 30-50 years "reflecting" on the hideousness of your crime (witch to you probably aren't bad at all, and you don't really give a **** about the p[ain, just the fact your stuck in a room now) Going to help them understand/why does it matter if they understand their only going to die in there anyway, just seams like a cheap way to ease your own conciense, its essentially a death sentence, just it takes longer.

what's the difference to locking a man in a room till he dies?

Many would say, its more humane.

I would disagree with anyone who said beheading someone was more humane than life imprisonment. I would also disagree with the concept of a life sentence with no possibility of parole.

I don't see any hatred towards the country in all previous replies before your one. Therefore it is only you who is relating act to the country.

Actually it seems there are more people here sticking up for the country by agreeing with the punishment.

I don't really agree with death as a punishment, but I can't say I'm particularly bothered about this guy being put to death.

maybe not beheading but something painless like a bullet through the head, is arguably more humane, as people are not good at being locked up mostly alone for the rest of their lives. Tbh I'd rather be executed than face 23 hours a day locked up for the next 30-50 years.

I would also disagree with the concept of a life sentence with no possibility of parole.
considering the circumstances "argument with mother, chop baby's head off" I think this guy is high on the re offenders list, and probably shouldn't be let out again.

exactly - he has committed a terrible crime and should be removed from existence - society will then no longer have to worry about him - its not necessarily about punishment, its about protecting society - and it will be a lot safer with him permanently removed.

I never said putting someone in a 8x8 foot room with no windows, for 23 hours a day, feeding them on utter rubbish, beating them, urinating on them, surrounded by rats and cockroaches, was humane. What he did was wrong. To me, merely chopping his head off isn't a punishment enough. If this had happened to my child, I wouldn't want him to have such a short suffering. It's got nothing to do with easing my conscience. It's got everything to do with punishment and the fact that he "may" regret his actions for the rest of his days.

As I said, it's my opinion.

I never said anything about the food beating or humiliation, i was just going on what people in max security get in America

And remember people like this feel regret about doing something, because they got caught, they do not feel bad nor feel remorse, for the fact it was a bad thing to do.
