Will it ease the parent's suffering.

Also you have to wonder about the sanity of a person committing such a depraved act. Clearly there is no way back for this person.

I think the punishment ie death or life inprisonment should be upto the parents.

as your the one who says you want him locked up for life in such an institution :/

Thing is you never know what's going to happen in 40 odd years, and so life in prison is always going to be a bit tenuous at best.

I said people like this I.e those that cut off the head of a baby because they have had an argument with the child's mum in a super market, I would hope a person like that is never classed as an "ex offender"

What if he was suffering from mental impairment at the time. Or under the influence of drugs or alcohol?

I'm pretty sure the kind that carries a knife an cuts the head of a baby doesn't no, again I said people like this not people who do a hit and run, or shoot a guy in a robbery.

I think drugs or alcohol would have been mentioned in the artical, everyone loves to slate them.

yes 10 simultaneously as that would insure that the brain is mostly destroyed at once, thus negating any pain, unlike lethal injection etc which cause considerable pain, and as justice should be about punishment and not revenge it makes more sense..

You know, I don't think anyone cares about 'considerable pain' during the administration of death penalties on convicted paedophiles, murderers, rapists, etc... it's a small example of human rights gone mad. Just kill them and be done with it already.
