Unspeakable horror

Would executing him bring the child back? Is it really going to do anything to ease the suffering of the parents? Very hard to answer that one imo.

I don't think we can say either way if the guy feels remorse or not, or more importantly will he feel remorse at some point in the future. If he does then imo, not executing him was the right thing to do.

How is locking him up till he dies any different, does his feeling remorse bring back the child, will it change anything?

So he should get to live because theres a chance he might feel a bit guilty decades down the line?

Executing him wouldnt bring the child back, but neither would putting him in a prison cell.

I imagine in a country like Saudi Arabia, executing him may well ease the suffering of the parents and those who witnessed the crime.

So the fact he might one day feel sorry about what he did and have a good boo-hoo about it means it's all ok then?

So it's ok to cut the heads off babies as long as you feel sorry about it in 20 years time?

The irony for me is the fact that we have a country that follows the muslim faith, and the Koran yet is a hot bed for heinious crimes and terrorism !

It might change him as a person. I think everyone, no matter what they've done should have the chance to come to terms with the crimes they have committed within their normal lifetime. Some people should never be released from prison, but that doesn't mean that they shouldn't have the chance to be forgiven.

just because the man decades down the line might say, or even truly be sorry for the crime, means that the family or mother who had to watch it will ever be able to forgive him, the only thing you could hope to achieve is longer suffering for him, first with him hating being imprisoned, then afterwards hating him self, until he possibly kills him self.

This has nothing to do with Islam, congratulations on making the thread a typical bash-muslims borefest now though.

Am I the only one not shocked, this happens all the time in the middle east, it even happens in this country, not beheading but adults killing children.

This is sick:mad:

He should be strung up and tortured using any method the parents of the child see fit. Also they should keep a doctor on hand to keep him alive so he can endure more suffering. People may not agree with that but his suffering will be a lot less than what the parents will have to go through for the rest of their lives. Imagine seeing that happen to your child, just wrong:(

true but this was particularly unusually, you don't often hear of a beheading in the fruit an veg isle.

Rubbish.

This guy killed someone innocent. The state is at once punishing him and removing him from society.
Totally agree. I'm not for any death penalty but there is clearly a difference between the crime and the punishment.

Oh dear.

What a sick ************* !

He clearly has no respect for human life. And to do that to a child whos not even 2 year old just makes it even more gruesome. Imagine how his mother felt at that time and imagine now that she is going to live the rest of her life with that image of her child being beheaded engraved permenantly in her mind!

Anyone who does that deserves to be removed from society for ever. I also think beheading is soft - he should be buried alive!

Killing the guy its just sweeping the problem under the carpet, Just because this guy killed a baby (it could have been an adult it matters not!) does not mean he should die too.

I will never agree with killing someone JUST because THEY have killed someone, it is to put it mildly an act of murder on its own.

There is no other way of looking at it.

Yes it does. That is not sweeping the problem under the carpet, it is removing it for good.

I will never agree with killing someone JUST because THEY have killed someone, it is to put it mildly an act of murder on its own.

That is not mildly putting it, that is wrongly putting it. Murder is unlawful killing. The death sentence in the UAE is not unlawful, ergo it can never be murder.

There is no other way of looking at it.

You are looking at it incorrectly, so of course there is.
