Hey all...
I have this anoying problem...While I play, sometimes my monitor goes to power save mode and then after few secs picture goes back..when i switch back to windows, i got this info that my graphic driver crushed and got recovered. And another thing that is happening, is that my video playback stops for few secs while watching movie (not even in fullscreen mode, and i can hear sound of it going as normal) and then it comes back again(maybe not an GPU issue??)...
any ideas what that could be ? I dont think it is overheating of my GPU as its fan runs on 100% while I play games...
Thx for any advice.
Oh...i use catalyst 8.1

ok,I will go down on it....i have to set it up on 100% while I play in 1900*1200 and all details on max, otherwise GPU just switches off(I think its memory overheating) and monitor goes to powersave and doesnt come back. fan on 100% solved that problem doh...but I will downclock it and let U folks know if it helped:) but i have small problem with getting in to safe mode on vista, while my keyboard doesnt work at the begining of vista loading(its a mac keyboard)

Well you can go into safe mode by typing 'msconfig' in the command line on vista and tick 'select safe boot'. Click ok and then reboot.

:)

so...I had no time to play in games for a longer time so it's hard to say if it will be ok but I've noticed that I still have this problem with playing movies...picture keeps on freezing for few secs...any suggestions ?
Thx

any suggestions
Check in event viewer to see if there is any more info about the error?

Update DirectX and drivers with the newest updates?

Check if there have been any reports of problems between your mobo and graphics card or BIOS update that sounds like it would fix it (unlikely but never know).
