Any help/advice would really be appriciated, plasma owners!.

I built my Vista Media center PC with dual freeview tuners, compiled all my dvd's into media center along with music etc.. but now I need a decent sized panel to display it on. I own two ips panels, but both at 20" are too small for the living room.

TX32LXD70 LCD or the TH37PX80B Plasma
I can't make my mind up about these two Panasonic panels, the lower not quite widescreen resolution of 1024 x 720 might look odd displaying media center?, its not really a widescreen resolution and most plasmas seem to have this odd ratio, so how does it look on a widescreen? stretched ?

Would the LCD would be better with media center ? because of the 1366 x 768 ??.

But the blacks on the plasma,,,

Hmm can't decide,, please help.

The pixels on a plasma (afaik) are rectangular, so it displays fine in widescreen.

The biggest issue I'd have thought here would be screenburn ?

Thanks jellybeard999

If the pixels are rectangular, wont that make windows look stretched?

Screenburn, I genrally don't leave a channel left on a particular channel, I only seem to watch pre recorded stuff on media center, play dvds and a light desktop useage. With the nostalgic screensaver in windows it shouldn't burn in anything. I am concerned about films that show letterbox though, on plasma.

I have seen image burn on both my ips panels, but its very short lived so its never grown into a concern for me, I guess the same could be said for a panasnoic 37" ips. I'm leaning towards the ips panel, but don't want to be let down again with badly rendered darker scenes on DVD.
