I think its standard 54g card.

I suppose it depends on the bitrates and the distances involved.

Bluray peaks at about 50mbps, which is double what a standard 802.11g network will do. You should get by with powerline networking however.

yeah the PS3 has a gigabit ethernet port, but the powerline will limit it to about 200Mbps but that's still fine for streaming HD.
