Can anyone find me a cable to allow my Xbox 360 to run on HDMI?

I have a HDMI screen and have the original Xbox 360 Premium so I don't have an HDMI port like the Elite.

Is there any cable I could buy in order for me to be able to plug my 360 into my monitor?

Thanks.

PS I would use google but I'm not sure what the cable is called.

I've also been looking for a cable - but from what I can tell, there is no Xbox AV to HDMI cable. The only one that is available is for those Xboxes (later models and Elite versions) that have an HDMI port on their Xbox.

This is the item you'll find if you search:

I Love my XBOX 360 with it's Microsoft VGA Cable.
Just wanted to Clear this up for people with the older 360's looking to boost their graphics. (This Cable dose exactly what it is meant to do, that is why I give it 5 Stars).

I have a non-HDMI XBOX 360 core system mfg. 7/2007, the picture doesn't show it well, but all this package contains is a Standard HDMI cable and a adapter that connects to the large A/V port on the back of the 360 and goes out to SOUND ONLY.

This WILL NOT Adapt your Standard 360 A/V port to HDMI.

This product only works if your XBOX 360 Already has a HDMI port in the back and it just gives you ports for audio so you can attach your 360 to HDMI and your surround sound receiver. where as with just HDMI cable, the sound is just coming from your TV's speakers.

You're better off just getting the component cable, which caters for HD up to 1080i

No competitors please - Zefan.

HDMI is digital. VGA, Component, Composite n what ever else is analog. So there is no way of converting the two enless you invent some sort of modulator demodulator hybrid 360 diverse carrier decoder encoder box that will allow you to hook up analog interconnectivity methods with HDMI.

Yes but that's the cheap, N64, way of "better" graphics. "Look! Its so smooth!", "But why is everything so blurry?!".

:p

It's not quite the same as smearing vaseline on the screen ;)

It almost seems like 360 games are designed with VGA in mind and the HDMI looks too sharp and rough in comparison. This could easily just be my TV though as I noticed the same effect with the PS3.

My premium looks spot on with HDMI directly to my PC monitor (HP W2207H), with the graphics quality depending on the game obviously - it made the screen tearing on Dead Rising quite obvious...but only on the cutscenes where you weren't engrossed in smashing zombie skulls in, thankfully. :p

It may have been because it defaulted to 1080p on a 1366*768 panel.

MadCatz now do a Xbox 360 HDMI Conversion Kit for any 360 model.

Not sure which UK sellers are doing them but available from the States.

yes there is matey. there are convertors available that'll do both.

All those cables that convert to HDMI may degrade the signal going to the monitor or tv.
The other thing to think about it may be cheaper to trade in the 360 for a new one with HDMI.
The madcatz cable is quite expensive.
