Electric Toothbrush, any good?

I just borrow the wife's Rabbit and strap my toothbrush to it.

Job done :D

Hot coffee, keyboard.

i prefer normal tooth brushes with medium hairs. i would do as people have been suggesting get floss as that will get in between the teeth. i was also recommended tooth picks but not the wooden kind. bought some they have a brush on the end cant think of their name.

I've never flossed in my life! And i stick to me manual toothbrush, much better, and you can feel if your doing a good job because your gums bleed with pain, thats a good sign of dental hygiene :)

You can get adequate ones for a few quid. They don't last long, but they're not much more expensive than a manual toothbrush. Of course, they then stiff you on replacement heads - the razor/blade model of marketing.

They're easier to use effectively and are better for your gums than a manual, especially if you're still half-asleep when you brush your teeth, but I find that they dribble used toothpaste over your hand a lot.

I just bought an Ultrasonex toothbrush of a well known, 3 letter shopping channel. It is the 3rd electric toothbrush that I've had over the last few years and is by far the best. I managed to get it plus 7 heads for the bargain price of £25!

The first time I used it I shocked myself how powerful it was. It was like some sort of dentists drill but surprisingly it does not make my gums bleed. I have extremely sensetive gums and even a manual toothbrush makes them bleed. My O-ral B electric toothbrush was like i'd just been attacked the amount of blood that generated! Another interesting thing is that I have the remaining half of my wisdom tooth making it's way through. I noticed this bleeding in work earlier but when I just brushed my teeth that area didn't even feel sensitive. My teeth feel extremely clean and a few people have even said to me how white my teeth look and i've only used it for a week! :D

I definitely would recommend Ultrasonex I really couldn't be any happier with mine

I have an Oral B one, it's the pro bright one I paid £12 for it. I get replacement heads from some dodgy geezer at my local market 4 for £6 I think ... they are like £8 for 2 in Asda. :(
