Well, feeling a bit burnt out on mmo's at the mo. Had enough of WoW (beta until a few months ago), tried Vanguard until lvl 30 and Lotro last weekend.

So had a look through my gaming collection for ones that I havent found the time to play. Oblivion, Stalker and NWN2 stood out.

So which one would you go with first? Decisions, decisions.

Oblivion.

Check out the oblivion mod threads and get your self some mods.

Definatly get hold of Qarls texture pack 3 if your computer can handle it.

Mod it from the word go? Or play it standard for a while?

Some mods are essential to begin with. Ones that don't affect gameplay either.

Streamline 3.1, Qarls texture pack 3, Immersive Interface for example. They don't affect how the game is played, they just make it a lot better.

Though to be honest, the improvements big overhaul mods like FCOM bring, I just couldn't play vanilla Oblivion any more.

I'd deffo go for Oblivion out this lot, absolutely love that game.
Pity it had me addicted while sitting financial exams :(

Financial Exams? hmmm..

Q.) When faced with a rapidly increasing interest rate. And declining profits, how best would you advise the company to proceed?

A.) A well placed arrow to the jugular should do the trick. Damn goblins

Ok it looks like Oblivion then :)

Any chance someone can give me 'the' list of mods I should install from the word go or is it just the ones that are mentioned above?

Cheers.

official patch, Streamline, qarls texture pack 3, unofficial patch, qarls patch for the unofficial patch, qarls 2048x2048 lod replacement and immersive interface.

That should get you going nicely.

If you want to dig deeper, look for FCOM in the PC games section, i made a thread about it.

It completely changes the game into what it should have been on release, but its very hard on beginners.
