Can anyone find me a cable to allow my Xbox 360 to run on HDMI?

It's not quite the same as smearing vaseline on the screen ;)

It almost seems like 360 games are designed with VGA in mind and the HDMI looks too sharp and rough in comparison. This could easily just be my TV though as I noticed the same effect with the PS3.

Change the sharpeness setting then :p

What you whinging about then?, you've just said its too sharp :p

I thought the same when I first got a HDMI Xbox too, almost too sharp

It's noting to do with my TVs sharpness, as it still looks weird at 20-30 sharpness. Wish I kept hold of my PS3 so I could test 720p on it.

My PC looks amazing at 1:1 mapping via HDMI.

I'm currently using my component cable on my new Samsung 40" TV.

Is the VGA noticebly better? Got it on 1080p at the moment, using the Premium XBox without HDMI.

I really rate VGA on my 40M86, in game mode its a bit jagged with component but the softening of VGA looks spot on. Nice rounded text and games look great with smooth colour contours.

In fairness, it's pretty clear too. I prefer HDMI myself though, and the quality between VGA cables is noticeable.

On my TV HDMI and VGA are identical, the weird thing is the difference between my PC through VGA/HDMI is beyond noticeable, the latter results in a much better, sharper image.

Yet my 360 looked identical through the same ports, odd.

I used my 360 Elite with HDMI, but switched to component as my dvd recorder uses the HDMI socket and I only have 1 on my TV.

However, I have not noticed any difference between component and HDMI, but then again, it's a 26" LCD, not 40"+

Im running it at 1080i also.
