just bought me self a PS3 - any recommendations?

yea I heard this and asked him.
he said he didnt know what I was going on about.

and said its the real 60gig version.
is there any way to check when it comes to me?

Easiest way to check is look at the front, there should be vents on the front under were the Disks go in, also it should have 4 USB ports and the flap should lift up on the front to reveal some memory card slots. Also on the back should be a serial number it should end in CECHC03 for a PAL 60Gb.

Buy It Nows are normally scams with a listing of 1 day, it could be a great bargain but they are very few and far between on eBay now.

i just got mine two days ago. with ratchet and clank, and uncharted, two blu ray films and a HDMI cable. i was amazed how quiet this thing was when i first powered it on. (i sold my 360 for one due to being quite loud) it oozed quality, too. get uncharted, you'll enjoy it! (brilliant cinematics) reminds me a bit like..a male tomb raider. but no tombs. :p

Thats a good price. I just sold my 60GB PS3 with NBA, VF5, Resistance and Casino Royale for £300 which is still a little low. (Not by choice moving out by myself and needed the cash, unfortunately the PS3 would bring in more than the 360).

Just to clear up.

HDMI is digital. You don't see people spending £100 on a usb lead do you???

You will either get a perfect picture or an unwatchable sparklie picture.

Unless your going above 15meters get the cheapest cable you can.

i'd be a tad wary....

I remember the days where people would try and convince you you NEEDED to buy a £20 USB lead when the technology was new. Eventually people realized that digital means no over the top expensive cable shielding is needed and so now it's hard to find expensive USB cables. Same will happen to HDMI eventually too i imagine.

thanks for posting this.

hopefully all is well.
he is selling it for a friend, but he has around 30 feedback at %100

he did list the item as a 9day auction, but like I said.
he had it on there for 15mins before I bought it.

He seems really genuine and also emailed me right away.
I asked him to let me know when its posted.

hopefully...
I'll get it the weekend :)

I recommend trading it in for a 360.
But get rainbow 6 vegas, Call of duty 4, burnout paradise, ratchet and clank

had a 360...
played it for a month... then went back to my pc :P

just been looking at a game called Skate?

not played any Tony Hawks games for years.
but did like them,

this game looks good and very original.
might be tempted to get it.

is it just 1 player?

You can play online i think. But its very different to Tony Hawk games. The Thumb sticks act as your feet, so you need to move them the way you actually would on a skateboard. For example to Ollie, you pull the thumb stick down and thrust it up. To kickflip, you pull the thumbstick down and thrust it up diagonally right (or whatever way the kickflip is, cant remember which way it goes and which way the heelflip goes :D).

Skate is in a different league to Tony Hawks, you wont want to play TH every again after Skate, definite purchase!

woot arrived just now in the post :)

has 60gig typed all over the box.
and has a CECHC03 on the box too.

going to check it all now.
I dont have a TV. so will have to play it on my pc monitor till it comes on monday,

I need a Component cable... right.
or S-Video one. - i'll pop out soon and get one.

Depending on your monitor you could get a HDMI to DVI cable and use that on your monitor.

No idea but you're probably better off using component if you can, you can pick one up on the high street for around £7

ah.
only need something cheap while I wait for monday and set the TV up with the HDMI leads.

I thought S-video was better... be easyer.. anyway
I see how much they are in the shop

oh yea...

I got Ridge Racer 7 with the PS3.
but I dont think I'll play it... seems boring.

Is it worth keeping it? or trading it in?

edit:

also... forgot to say the PS3 came wrapped in christmas paper! lol
thank god it was boxed.

Recommend you set it up with the fans facing the bottom of your bed, Inorder to keep you feet warm during the cold nights. :D

Seriously though, I recommend, Drake, Ratchet and Clank, DMC4, Heavenly Sword and Ninja Gaiden.

I have to be honest and say I've never actually played Ridge Racer
