Tiny dogs

Ugly dog, looks like its made out of tubes.

That's just they way it's been groomed, trim the legs down for a different look. You can't argue with that stance though. How a dog should be.

Pomeranian!!! - just seen its been mentioned already but my post stays for cuteness :D

Not that i know anything about dogs but these are small and oh so awesome, probably cost a bomb tho...

My gf has got two chihuahuas (a dog and a bitch), at first I thought they would be horrible snappy/yappy things, but they are the complete opposite.
The only time they bark a lot is when a stranger comes into the house or stands and looks through the window.

They're both very good with kids and love to snuggle up on your lap.

Have you thought how much you want to pay?
As small dogs tend to have smaller litters the price can be around £1000 for a good one.

Our bitch is pregnant atm and the dogs will be up for approx £900 and the bitches £1200.

Personally I like Boston Terriers.

Not that expensive, £500-800 I'd say thats average.

It always does - my parent's neighbours have had boxers for 30 years and every one of them has the mental prowess of a turnip.

Really?

Wonder if they've always been unlucky. Mine is headstrong but intelligent. He knows exactly what you want him to do, its getting him to do it that's the problem :D Most Boxer training clubs/sites/breeders I've spoken to say the same.
Out of curiosity, would the boxer by now not be fairly loyal to the kid, and so eat a little dog that tried to bite him?

Fair point. So all I have to do is get it to try and bite him ;)

I'd like to spend less than £400. The cheaper the better.

I would definitely prefer to get one from a rescue. I'd pay more than they were charging to give them more money too.

Plus he's practical. He's a great ratter (and anything else rodent like. Mice, Headgehogs... even Spiders). Probably not too easy to find though.

Edit: He doesnt moult, he looks AWESOME when his hair grows long, is a lot of fun to play with and gets on with other dogs well. All his brothers/sisters are the same too so it's not just a training thing)
