just tried oc e4400 (dodgey)

and it did not go well. after oc in bios i save+exit and pc restarted. then while pc was on i did not get any display. so ive just had to clear cmos using jumper. everything appears to be fine now.

could any damage been made to cpu?

Thats happened to me more times than I care to remember whilst over clocking and I have never destroyed anything yet....

that bloody cmos jumper though very fiddlely ... had to use tweezers lol
