Here comes the 60GB 360...

Yup, lets hope they do that. Can't see the 60gb addon being cheap knowing them. Guess they've realised they need a mid-end SKU for those who want to use the video marketplace.

Nowadays 2.5" 60GB HDDs are probably no more expensive to make than 20GB. They use the same amount of raw materials.

I've never had any less than 5 gig left on my 20Gb (well, 13 :p) HDD since the 360 was launched.

Most of the time it's around 9-10 free.

Get reliability sorted; bigger HDD; quieter DVD drive; built in Wi-Fi and then I'll buy another one. Until then, no thanks.

mmm, so a rumoured price drop and now 20gig replaced by a 60gig, would be nice but i cannot see MS dropping price of a Pro/Premium and adding a 60gig for nowt

Bit doubtful about a new SKU with an integrated Blu-ray drive though. Would it be able to read DVDs fast enough to comply with the Xbox games requirement?

I don't see why it wouldn't be able to read DVD's fast enough. But yeh I'd be surprised if they released a unit with built in drive, unless they made some sort of super multimedia elite edition.

There is nothing on the Xbox website worth downloading other than the odd demo, I've got a 20gig drive and even with extra cars for the PGR games and nonsense like that ive still got 9 gig left and i bought it 2 years ago.

Myself, I would never buy anything from Xbox Live Marketplace again after being shafted with the stupid DRM they have.

Blu-ray isn't slow per se. Sony were in a predicament with the PS3. They wanted to wait for a 4x speed drive so they could release a model without a HD but couldn't afford to wait any longer and released with a 2x speed drive (making the HD mandatory and somewhat negating the benefits of having all that space but it would help 'win the HD war'. ~ a debate for another time).

Any 360 Blu-Ray sku or the Blu-ray drive in the PS4 would be able to run at much faster speeds so this won't be a problem.
