Hi everyone this is my first post so I'm sorry if I seem a little ignorant!

I need a little advice on choosing a graphics card. I'm looking to build a quiet system and am finding it hard to choose the gpu. It would have to run two monitors well, but I never play games so It's just for watching videos and running windows. It also needs to be single slot and passively cooled (heatsink, no fan). I'm essentially looking for the cheapest, coolest, single slot, passively cooled graphics card that's capable of running two displays without any problems at all.

Thanks in advance guys!

A low-profile Asus HD3450 fits your needs perfectly, it has a passive cooler as well.

Here's the linky: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-152-AS&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=168

Are both displays DVI/HDMI? The 3450's are great, but if mine is anything to go by (HIS) they're DVI+VGA.

Yes! Although neither of them supports HDMI natively but you could always use a DVI-HDMI dongle to make it. Also, all HD3000 series cards have built-in sound card, so you could connect the HDMI output pin from your mobo to the 3450 board. Then the sound signal would be output from the DVI connector to your TV through the dongle:)

Edit: Most of the low-end cards don't have HDMI connector because of the relatively high license fee.

Edit 2: sorry, I misunderstood:p The OP has explained it in the following post.

Sounds like the 3450 is a good choice then, I now have one in my media centre and it's had no issues. The HIS one comes with the HDMI dongle, might be useful.

Yeah, now I actually look, the price difference is negligible. You guys are brilliant. I can't believe how quickly that was sorted.

Cheers!
