when does this come out ?

Thanks very much but 60 squids is a bit cheap isnt it, i was thing it was going to be like £150 for the top end one ?
That's AMD boards for you. The memory controller is built into the CPU hence board = relatively cheaper OR you can argue that AMD are not doing that well therefore mobos have to be priced accordingly :(

OR X38 boards are extremely overpriced :D

The 780g boards were always going to be relatively cheap because the 798fx is still their top models (I think)

I'm just waiting for the newer boards with the SB700 southbridge... No idea when they will be released.

I thought the Gigabyte board came with the SB700? The reviews suggest so.

EDIT: Yeah it already has the SB700. Or do you mean a 798fx with an SB700?

yeah lookv ery good item ideal for hidef playback. there is good artical on tomshardware about his chipset and what it can do for hidef playback and more. as it takes all the strain off the cpu.

Hmm. I'm thinking that sometheing based on this chipset could be a handy upgrade path for me (as it doesn't look like my current board will ever support quad core). I've seen a couple of reviews and it looks like good bang for buck. Full AM2+, PCI-E2.0.

Been thinking of getting another 939 motherboard for a 2nd build. With up-to-date stuff like this around I'd be better off just getting something brand new and using the current board in the 2nd PC.
