I am with Tmobile and pretty happy with them however it seems the best I can get is a £10 off a month loyalty discount however a new customer can find a far better deal. Is it possible to request the PAC code, move over to pay as you go for say, a week/month then reregister as a new client?

(the best deal I can find on Tmobile is a free N95 with £75 cashback as well as £60 money back using quidco on a WnW flex 35 per month for 12 months which is pretty good going if you sell the N95 too!)

Failing that I will consider moving over to 3 (but with an 18 month contract = horrible) - all the other networks have ridiculous data rates.

yes.

End contract, ask for PAYG sim with existing number on.
Go to shop as a new customer, ask to take number with you to contract.

Do t-mob now allow this?
It used to be that you would have to get PAC then put number onto a different networks PAYG, then start a new contract with t-mob and port the number back in.

^^ thats what i thought too - you have to switch networks. but as its not contract-to-contract maybe its okay.

Three credit you £10 for porting a number to their payg, so you could get a Three simcard for like a quid off ebay, and use that for a month or so for free-ish. Although porting takes a week and it might be an extra week before they credit you.
