No were weren't, it was more than obvious he was going to move aside for Brown.

I hope to God that Labour stay in. Yeah, they're been pretty disastrous and a lot of bad things have happened during their time in office, namely the Iraq war, but that's for another thread. But I really do think that it's a case of the lesser of two evils.

Brown now cannot be trusted - going back on the pledge in their manifesto for a referendum is a real low point. And the point is the general public dont care and have no idea what is going on - this will be forgotten in a week. I dont trust him on the linking of databases, ID cards, his handling of the economy (Non Doms tax, business taxes, Northern Rock, Pensions crisis). If labour do stay in power (and I think it likely) our economy will suffer (worse than it could be).

Oh and the EU can go **** itself. I want to stay in the EU but its complete disregard for its own citizens and its sheer arrogance is utterly sickening. The way it acts is outrageous..and yet no one cares.

due to the identical-ness of the 3 main parties there is no point even voting.
