Breaking a padlock

Someone put a padlock on my car tow hook, bolt cutters won't get it off. Gonna try hack saw tomorrow.

If that doesn't work, looks like I'll have to kill it with fire.

Got a crowbar? If so, insert it into the loop of the hasp, find something to pivot against and apply force. Without enough leverage, you should be able to snap it off.

Stupid answer: Get in car and ram through gate, like in the movies.
 
Really LONG bolt croppers. They'll go through anything with enough leverage. If you can, put the end of one of the handles n the floor and position it like a scissorjack, then put all your weight on the top handle.. use jack handles to make the handles longer if you have them. That'll seriously go through anything.
 
Semi dumb suggestion...

Can you unscrew the hingey-lock bit thats attached to the door or whatever? Failing that, try bolt cutters, crowbar, hammer and chisel... Hell, use a sledgehammer if you want to feel really alpha.
 
I'd be more worried about spitting blood than getting my car out. You should see a doctor.
 
A big heft blow with a big lump hammer will do it. I destroyed a 1/2 inch padlock with 5 huge wallpop with a sledge hammer - admittedly I did do some damage to the wall & door it was attached too - but it came off :D

You could drill it out but if it's a reinforced one you'll blunt your drill bit - though they are replaceable.
