This is why I refuse to buy a 'nice' car.

The infamous gaffa taped wing mirror on my car has now been nicked.

Strangely, the mirror itself is up the lane where I get access to the back of the house, but the housing is no where to be found.

Looks like they attempted to get the drivers one off to, but didn't have much luck.

So along with the multiple scratches down both sides and dings on all the panels thanks to people at work, I really don't see the point in spending a couple grand on a decent car just to get broken hearted.

Sheds = epic win. ;)

It makes you wonder how difficult it would be to fit an internal surveillance system to your car. With camera technology, wireless and the electronics expertise on this forum, maybe it's possible.

Stop parking in dodgy places. I once parked in a dodgy place and got the rear of my car scraped with no note left and nothing to go on. Never again.

You should try it, makes life a hoot :D

definately agree!

I will NOT buy a decent car untill I move house, as my car seems to be the local scratching post for the youths....

Now if i had been out and spent £3k or more on a car and found these each week (see pics) I would be fuming... but on a £690 car, I just dont care! :D

Move out the crap area.

Job done :)

So I can buy a half decent car?

Get real Tom. :p ;)

I'll move out when I can financially stand on my own two feet. No idea when that'll be though. And even then, I doubt I'd afford a car anyway what with money going towards bills etc.

Buy a nice car and sleep in it (while parked up somewhere nice).

Technically it makes you a gypo, but its still a solid plan.

I live in a **** area but thankfully the neighbors out back near where I park have two vicious and noticeable dogs. Seeing as I park outside their house, nobody touches it.

Eggsactly.

It can vary on your definition of cars too. Some people fall on love with theres, mine's a work horse and a tool to be used. Aslong as it runs well and gets me where I want to go reliably, ecomonically and in reasonable comfort, I'm happy.

Got to admit that without off road parking I wouldn't spend more than a couple of grand on a car. It would probably be fine but I'd be curtain twitching everytime I heard someone trying to park :o

all depends where you live. People seem to park nice cars on my street no probs. There's even an old evo left on the street at the moment and my area is not "Posh".
