...would they be allowed to take an English teams place in the UEFA cup?? Anyone any ideas? Heard that wales already have their allocation through their own clubs
No, Cardiff play in the English league, so they'll take one of the English spots.
..they'd have triangular f'n flags![]()

The only way 6th place could get into the UEFA cup was if Chelsea won the cup, as they'd be in the CL next year..
Until now! I want Cardiff to win now.![]()
I thought the 6th place gets a spot in the Uefa cup anyway. It would have been the 7th club if Chelsea won the fa cup?
Cardiff City have been told they will not be nominated for a Uefa Cup spot if they win this season's F.A Cup. The news confirms, once again, that the six Welsh 'exile' clubs are the only teams in Europe without a route into Europe. The statement from the Football Association has described the club's situation as "unique".
"It's an unique situation for Cardiff as they play in our association yet belong to another one in the FAW. Representation would have to be entered by us. They are not eligible for an English place. Those rules are set in stone at the start of the season and they enter in that knowledge.

Is it really only three places for England in UEFA cup?
We've had four teams this year. Blackburn already knocked out, and Everton, Bolton and Tottenham still in.
I believe England had four teams last year too.
Is it really only three places for England in UEFA cup?
Thanks. I knew there must be some reasonable explanation. There's another spot avaiable via the Intertoto Cup which is how Blackburn qualified this year and Newcastle the year before.
