Great, the first film was what made me get a civic, put neons under it and steal some *** from my local dentist.
Ok, they are actually awful films and that never happened, but I do blame the first film for all the halfords carpark crew of recent times.

First was entertaining if cheesy, 2nd was abysmal, 3rd was actually a very solid film that I enjoyed
Pretty much sums up my thoughts too.
I couldn't care less how accurate the films are, I find them entertaining and that's all that counts. They have decent soundtracks, the cars sound nice and there's enough boobs to go around.
Car culture is a varied and personal experience, you can't account for everyone. Yeah, it's a Hollywood manufactured film where they all seem to have more money than GCSE's and contail more product placement than the ad breaks but it doesn't mean I take it for gospel and rush off to Halfords the nexy day. The cars featured are very well built for what they are and I admire anyone who can do it properly, regardless of how I may dislike it

I would like these films a whole lot more if the acceleration of the cars was realistic. I mean it just annoyed me more than anything, but other than that, I generally enjoy them. Apparently the new scooby is in it this time.
the films were class back in the day, some of the stuff annoyed me though, like, they were going side by side, then one of them decides "oh im fed up of this, ill actually put my foot down and change UP a gear and that will give me the lead", as if they werent planting the throttle before then.

same feeling as the others re the films. I only watched 2 all the way through as the mrs bought it for me. 1 and 3 were OK as car films go.
Prefer the old car films myself

Skoda, I have a sub etc.. in it so I can turn it up loud and look even cooler
In the 205 I like to pretend I'm a rally pro which doesn't require a soundtrack. Rev matching on upshifts etc... again making me look really cool
True, but it fueled the fire big time I'd say. I remember after the film everyones car was painted green with neons for a while.
