Great Skyline build

Just gone through the whole thread and that is pretty amazing!

That work shop looked pretty empty where they took the engine out, but how cool!

Great read!

Thanks :) .

 incredible work there!

I want to know what pics you're looking at that it's on stilts! Look at the final pics, and lower and it would ruin the on road handling IMO.

Those sump fins would catch one leaves if it was any lower :p

What was the final price?

£3000 just for shipping, so must be pretty high

doesnt strike me as an enthusiast thing to do. seems like someone with more money than sense (£3k to ship it half way across the planet for someone else to work on it). i would have thought a real enthusiast would want to play around with and tweak it themselves (like we all overclock our own computers etc)

Its actually cheaper to send to car over to New Zealand and have them work on it than to have the work done over here.

but the sum total of his input was what colour to colour code the hoses under the bonnet lol effectively having a car built for him, could have just bought something from the showroom

Yes because you can buy that skyline in a showroom
I know sod all about building engines etc so if I wanted a car like that I would do the same and get someone else to do it. Not sure what you're getting at tbh

that is just - wow.....

that is one lush looking skyline.

but shipping it half way around the world for a tune-up?? surely it would be just as easy to send it to Trust or Nismo in Japan?

I know that car.. aint seen it about for abit tho lol. Guy used to get on the jap site i was on :)

And if you aint got the know how or the time then this is a good way to do it.. Not many people tackle RB30 conversions over here :)

what a great read.

car is fantastic, may have to have a trip round newcastle for the day to see if i can spot it when its back in the UK!

a lot of £££'s spent on it like!
