At least with Fifa/PES/FM you get up-to-date squads when the games come out. They're not a year behind.

I don't see them ever bringing out a current season game though. It's not like football or other sports where you know the players form before hand - you don't really know how well the teams are going to perform until the season is well underway and how they perform relative to each other would be a big factor in the games setup.

Can't wait for the next Sony F1 game, the one released on launch day was fantastic. Other than updated drivers and teams any maybe some better online options, helped by the supposed ingame-xmb update to make things more seamless, I can't think of much that could improve on it.

Definitely, I loved their last F1 game on the PS3. Hopefully there will be a new one at some point during the summer, although things seem to have gone quiet on the F1 front.

If only you could even edit the driver names then you could almost update the drivers roster to the current season yourself - that would be good enough for me until the next version comes out.

Hopefully as the season kicks off, and media interest picks up again, we may hear some more news of any upcoming F1 titles.

I'm surprised EA say it isn't avaliable, if Sony do have it still it's strange that they didn't release an update at the end of last year for the 2007 season.

I guess we'll find out more later in the year...
