Canon 400D Price

Hi folks

Just had a quick look on the popular book store for the Canon 400D and it comes up with a third-party company selling it for £210 new.

I emailed the company and got this as a reply:

Hello,
the canon is brand new, UK model, it`s coming with all accessories and all manufactures for 12 months warranty. I will ship you it from italy and you will receive it at home in 3-4 working days by international airmail.
If you are really interested send me your name and address and i will start your order with amazon.

Can't answer your question mate, but if you find out its legit, I'll be very interested in getting one for that price
 
I know they say if it's too good to be true it probably isn't, but surely the 'book store' wouldn't let them sell through their website if it was dodgy.
 
I have also emailed to enquire about this. I will let you know what I find out. If it is all above board then it's a good price, else I think you're best deal would be the Canon Refurb store on the popular auction site.


Does anyone know if we would be able to claim the cashback from the current offer purchasing from either of these two places??
 
I was wondering about the cashback too because that would make it sub £200!! Even if you don't it's still a good price. They've also got the double lens kit (18-55 & 55-200) for £340 too.
 
Ned to keep my eye on this - as this is a good price and can use as a second body and also for the wife to use when she come on trips with me!
 
I can't find it either now, but have replied to their email asking if it's still available and if I can claim the Canon cashback too.

Surely if it goes pearshaped then the 'book store' will refund the payment because it says you pay them rather than the third party?
 
We'll he's got back to me and says they've been in high demand but has saved me one. Postage is £14.99 and I need to reply with my details and the 'book store' will contact me for payment.

The store name is Electromart and has a lot of stuff for sale on it.

I'm very wary of buying from there but surely Amazon wouldn't keep that store open if it was dodgy.
 
Why would he sell these so much cheaper than anyone else, especially if his stock is limited. He'd be a buffoon to have such a big price difference if it was legit.
 
Amazon are listing it from i think 364 new so i dont know how hes getting it cheep on there.. might try it though if it is legit, can i have a link/email please?
